CDIO Based Curriculum Implementation for Electromechanical Undergraduate Course []

Abstract A novel approach to using Project Based Learning to transform the curriculum into CDIO curriculum is achieved by using carefully selected projects for the Engineering Design modules (which are Project Based by nature) and using these modules as platforms to encourage practical engagement in other concurrently offered modules that are traditionally viewed as theory based. As simple as it appears, this approach necessitates a high level of coordination on the part of the lecturers delivering the relevant modules in order to effectively achieve the required objectives. This paper describes how the Mechanism of Machinery module, offered in the third year on the second semester of a five-year Mechanical Engineering course, was combined with a theory-based module to create a CDIO environment without introducing any major changes to the theory-based modules' syllabus or assessment scheme. The students were divided into groups, and each group was tasked with developing, designing, implementing, and running a fluid-related project. The students demonstrated a high level of engagement and motivation while learning more about real fluids theory. Key words: - mechanism of machinery, mechanical engineering module, CDIO, syllabus, standard, course learning outcome

This study aims to determine and analyze: Current Ratio (CR), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), Return on Assets (ROA), and Gross Profit Margin (GPM) on changes in profits on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Current Ratio (CR) to changes in profits on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) to changes in profits on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Return on Assets (ROA) on changes in profits on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Gross Profit Margin (GPM) on changes in profits on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The objects in this study are Current Ratio (CR), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), Return on Assets (ROA), Gross Profit Margin (GPM), and Operating Profit (Profit Growth) in Manufacturing Companies in the Pharmaceutical Sector Registered on the IDX for the period of 2014-2018. The results of this study conclude that: Current Ratio, Debt to Equity Ratio, Return on Assets, and Gross Profit Margin have a positive and significant effect on changes in earnings. This means that short-term debt and debt to capital, as well as the gross profit obtained, have not been able to provide a significant increase in profit changes, it's just that asset utilization is still able to provide a balance to profit changes. CR has a negative but not significant effect on changes in profit, meaning that an increase or decrease in CR (the company's ability to guarantee its short-term debt) is not able to affect the decrease or increase in profit margins. DER has a negative but not significant effect on changes in profit, meaning that the company's (equity debt) is still high with profit income. ROA has a positive but not significant effect on profit changes, meaning that there is an increase in (asset utilization) that has been carried out to increase profits. GPM has a negative but not significant effect on profit changes, meaning that (the gross profit margin) has not experienced growth with increasing profits.

Prevalence and risk factors of clinically significant depression in cancer patients using the PHQ-9 and ESAS-r scales: Patient-reported outcomes []

Abstract Background: Depression is a common comorbidity among cancer patients. However, reported prevalence of depression in cancer patients varies widely across studies. The present studyassessed the prevalence and associated factors of clinically significant depression among cancer by using thePHQ-9 and ESAS-r instruments. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted among a convenient sample of cancer patients in a tertiary care cancer center in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Depression was assessed using PHQ-9 and ESAS instruments. The prevalence of depression was assessed by PHQ-9 and ESAS instruments, and then compared in terms of diagnostic accuracy. Risk factors of depression were identified using logistic regression. Results: A total 301 cancer patients were included in the study. The majority ofparticipants were females 217(72.1%)and with solid tumors 262(87%). The prevalence of clinically significant depression assessed by PHQ-9 and ESAS-r was 35.2% and 27.9%, respectively. In the multivariate regression analysis, Rural residence (OR 3.03; 95% CI 1.37–6.69), Tiredness (OR 1.22; 95% CI 1.04–1.43) Drowsiness (OR 1.22; 95% CI 1.07–1.38), Loss of appetite (OR 1.29; 95% CI 1.13–1.47), anxiety (OR 1.22; 95% CI 1.08–1.39), wellbeing (OR 1.21; 95% CI 1.04–1.41) were identified as a predictors of clinically significant depression. The inter-rate accuracy ofthePHQ-9 andESAS-r showed a significant moderate agreement (κ = 0.480, p < 0.001). Conclusion: The present study finding demonstrate a high prevalence of clinically significant.
